Not many Oregon insurance agencies sell the Non-owner Policy. Too many insurance buyers think the Non-Owner policy acts like a Broad Form Policy available in other States with which you can drive any car belonging to you or not, insured or not. This is NOT a Broad Form Policy! They aren't available in Oregon. The car you drive must still have insurance on it by it's owner, you or someone else. Other drivers think it works to cover rental cars. It doesn't. You still have to buy their liability and Collision Damage Waiver (Physical Damage Coverage).
If you have questions or doubts about Non-Owner or Named Operator SR22 Policies, give an agent who specializes in them a call. Non-Owner policies in Oregon serve a specific purpose: to provide an SR22 filing for drivers who don't own car.
